People We Admire — Tale
In every city there are individuals whose work quietly shapes the spaces we move through. Their influence is not always loud, but it is deeply felt. They design environments, ideas, and experiences that become part of everyday life. These are the people we admire.
Tale is one of them.

As the co-founder of Design Journal, an interior architecture studio based between Jakarta and Bali, Tale approaches design with a sensitivity that balances clarity and emotion. Her work reflects a deep understanding of how space shapes the way people move, interact, and feel.
At Design Journal, each project becomes a careful exploration of material, proportion, and atmosphere. Rather than chasing spectacle, the studio focuses on creating environments that feel thoughtful, grounded, and enduring — spaces that resonate quietly with those who inhabit them.
This way of thinking aligns closely with the spirit of Hyde Concept and h./label.
Both design and clothing share a similar role: shaping the relationship between people and the environments they move through. A well-considered garment, much like a well-considered space, creates a subtle framework for daily life — supporting movement, expression, and presence without demanding attention.
What defines Tale’s work is not only its visual clarity, but the discipline behind it. Materials are chosen with intention, and details are refined without excess. The result is work that feels calm, balanced, and quietly confident.
These are qualities we deeply value.
People We Admire is not a series about visibility or recognition. It is about individuals whose way of thinking and working reflects a certain sensibility — those who move with clarity, restraint, and intention.
Through this series, we document people and the worlds they inhabit — their work, their perspectives, and the environments that shape their daily lives.
Tale is one of the first.
And certainly not the last.
Quietly made.
Meant to be lived in.
